I grew up in the Black Hills and love calling this place my home! I graduated from Steven’s High school and originally set out to be an elementary school teacher. I ended up with an associate’s degree in Paraprofessional Education from Black Hills State University, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Black Hills State University, and a master’s degree in Agency Counseling from South Dakota State University. I am an avid consumer of my own product and continually seek additional, specialized professional training and personal growth opportunities. I often say that this profession picked me, and I’m so very grateful. I love the work I do.
I truly believe people can do, be, and have anything they want. I believe people are generally good. I believe that we can never truly know the experience of another individual, and therefore cannot come to any determining conclusions about another’s experience. I believe that people do the best they can with what they have, although they might not know it. I believe people are beautiful souls, creations of God, and reflections of love.
